Developed by Drs. Fischer, M<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">acPhee &amp; Sinden, the OPPAT\u2122<\/span>&nbsp;<span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">is a<\/span><br role=\"presentation\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">bona fide occupational test that emphasizes the tasks associated with being a frontline paramedic, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lifting\/lowering of a stretcher (with and without a weighted mannequin);<\/li>\n<li>performing CPR;<\/li>\n<li>walking a short distance while carrying a backboard with a weighted mannequin in place; and,<\/li>\n<li>loading\/unloading of the stretcher from an ambulance (with and without a weighted mannequin).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/specialprojects.wlu.ca\/oppat\/about\/\">Read More<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT NOTICE:<\/strong> The OPPAT\u2122 is owned and operated under agreement by Wilfrid Laurier University and is administered at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and at the City of Ottawa Paramedic Services Headquarters.
