Officer obigation and SIU investigation

Project leader Patrick Watson has recently given comments to the CBC on the Devon Fowlin case in Toronto, Ontario. He points out that police officers are treated like any citizen in their right to remain silent under investigation, but that they are quite different from other citizens in their right to use lethal force. Patrick echoes calls from past SIU directors adn Mr. Fowlin’s lawyer, Knia Singh, that accused officers be obligated to cooperate with SIU investigations.
